Tipping is customary but not mandatory for most vendors. The exception is catering staff, who should always be tipped (check if gratuity is already included in the bill). For other vendors, a tip shows appreciation for exceptional service. If a vendor owns their business, a tip is appreciated but not expected; a glowing review or referral is equally valued.
